MEDIA CREDENTIALS
COLLEGIATE PEAKS STAMPEDE RODEO
OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY & MEDIA POLICY
CPRA-Sanctioned Event
This Policy applies to all Media Personnel present on Event property.
Possession of a ticket does not grant media rights or access beyond spectator areas.
DEFINITIONS
For purposes of this Policy:

“Event” means Collegiate Peaks Stampede Rodeo, including all performances, slack, and related activities.

“Committee” means Collegiate Peaks Stampede, Inc., the Event producers, organizers, and authorized representatives.
-
“Media Personnel” means any individual capturing or intending to capture photographs, video, or digital media for any purpose other than strictly personal use. Any individual using professional-grade equipment, including but not limited to cameras with detachable lenses, regardless of intention of use.

“Credentials” means official authorization issued by the Committee permitting restricted access.
-
“Restricted Areas” include, but are not limited to, arena floor, chutes, back pens, timed-event lanes, livestock areas, and any marked or controlled zones.
CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS
Pre-Approval Required -
All Media Personnel must obtain written approval in advance of the Event.
No on-site credential approvals will be granted under any circumstances.
Applications must be submitted by June 1, 2026. Late or incomplete submissions may be denied at the sole discretion of the Committee.
Eligibility -
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Assignment by a recognized media outlet
-
Contractual relationship with the Event or an Event sponsor
-
Freelancer with demonstrated professional experience (portfolio required)
Approval of freelance applicants is not guaranteed and is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Credential Limits -
The Committee reserves the right to:
-
Limit the number of approved Media Personnel
-
Prioritize applicants based on Event needs
-
Deny any application without explanation
Equipment Restrictions -
Use of professional equipment without Credentials is prohibited.
The Committee reserves the right to:
-
Deny entry
-
Require removal of equipment
-
Remove individuals in violation of this provision
ACCESS AND CONTROL
Restricted Areas -
Access to Restricted Areas is strictly limited to the Collegiate Peaks Stampede Rodeo Official Photographer(s) or properly credentialed Media Personnel that has been expressly authorized. All other Media Personnel must remain in the spectator or non-competition areas.
Authority of Officials -
All Media Personnel shall comply immediately with directions from:

Rodeo officials
-
Judges
-
Arena director
-
Stock contractor representatives
-
Event staff
The Committee retains absolute authority to:

Reassign positions
-
Limit access
-
Revoke Credentials at any time, with or without cause
SAFETY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Media Personnel acknowledge that rodeo activities involve inherent and significant risks, both inside and outside of the arena, including but not limited to:

Unpredictable livestock behavior
-
Physical contact with animals or participants
-
Equipment-related hazards
-
Environmental conditions
Media Personnel are responsible for:
-
Maintaining situational awareness
-
Positioning themselves safely
-
Avoiding interference with Event operations
Failure to adhere to safety requirements shall result in immediate removal.
PROHIBITED CONDUCT
Media Personnel shall not:
-
Enter the arena during active competition without authorization
-
Occupy or obstruct:
-
Out-gates
-
Chutes
-
Livestock lanes
-
Timed-event paths
-
-
Interfere with contestants, livestock, or personnel
-
Use flash or equipment in a manner deemed unsafe
-
Block spectator views, aisles, or emergency access routes
-
Use tripods, monopods, or similar equipment in grandstands, high-traffic or restricted areas
Our fan experience is critical to us and we appreciate your cooperation. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in forfeiture of your credentials and/or ticket and you will be asked to leave the premises.
DRESS CODE
Media Personnel granted access to the arena, chute areas, back pens or along the arena perimeter where visible to the public and other photographers shall maintain a professional western appearance, including:

Long-sleeve button-down or western shirt
-
Long pants
-
Boots
-
Western hat
The Committee reserves the right to deny access for non-compliance.
CONTENT OWNERSHIP, USE, AND DELIVERY
License to Event
Photos and/or videos taken at the Collegiate Peaks Stampede Rodeo or on its grounds between June 12 and June 13, 2026 are property of the Committee and may NOT be sold for profit without consent of Collegiate Peaks Stampede, Inc.
As a condition of receiving Media Credentials, the undersigned of Collegiate Peaks Stampede Inc. official media application grants, the Committee, its affiliates, and sponsors a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, edit, publish, distribute, and display any and all media captured at the Event for any lawful purpose, including marketing, advertising, promotional, and commercial use, and/or for sale at a profit, without compensation, attribution, or further approval.
Content Submission Requirement
Media Personnel are required to:

Submit all images and/or video captured at the Event (no watermarks or logos), all frames regardless of content or quality

Provide content in native, high-resolution format
-
Deliver content within the timeframe specified by the Committee
-
Digital logo
Collegiate Peaks Stampede Rodeo will include logos and/or text for media credit where practicable.
Images and/or video may be distributed via Google Drive, thumb drive and/or SD card and must be submitted to Collegiate Peaks Stampede Rodeo no later than July 31, 2026. Email collegiatepeaksstampede@gmail.com to make arrangements of distribution.
Restrictions on Use
Without prior written consent, Media Personnel shall not:

Sell or license images, video, or media for commercial purposes

Provide content to third parties, sponsors, or vendors not affiliated with the Event
-
Use Event imagery in a manner that misrepresents:
-
Contestants
-
Livestock welfare
-
The Event or The CPRA
-
SOCIAL MEDIA AND PUBLICATION
Media Personnel shall:

Maintain professional and accurate representation of the Event
-
Refrain from publishing:
-
Injury incidents prior to official release
-
Misleading or defamatory content
-

Comply with all applicable laws and ethical standards
Required Media Branding
Collegiate Peaks Stampede Rodeo owns the rights to the coverage of the Event. Photos may be used for news publications but may not be sold for profit without prior written consent. Any media used in connection with sponsors, advertisers, or third parties must include Event branding unless otherwise approved in writing by the Committee.
Media Personnel agree that any photograph, video, or digital media publicly distributed from the Event, shall include official Collegiate Peaks Stampede Rodeo branding. Media Personnel also agree to notify us of any publication that you submit photography of our event to.
Approved branding may include:

Official Event logo
-
Event name “Collegiate Peaks Stampede Rodeo”
-
Sponsor marks when provided by the Committee
Logo placement must be:
-
Clearly visible
-
Proportionally scaled
-
Not distorted, altered, recolored, or modified in any manner
Logo placement shall not:
-
Obstruct key action within the image
-
Misrepresent the Event, its participants, or sponsors
Watermarks are permitted; however:
-
They must not conflict with or overpower Event branding
-
They must not imply exclusive ownership or rights beyond those granted in this Policy
-
The Committee reserves the right to require removal or adjustment of any watermark deemed inappropriate
The Committee reserves the right to require that specific images or media:
-
Include Event branding prior to publication
-
Be updated post-publication to include branding if originally omitted
Failure to comply with logo and branding requirements may result in:
-
Removal of published content
-
Revocation of Media Credentials
-
Denial of future media access
